Sincerity Does Not
Save You

“The Pharisee prayed…
I fast twice a week and
Give my tithes.”

Luke 18:11-12

Today’s scripture describes a confident and proud religious officer praying in the temple that he was living a godly life confident that his sincere and heartfelt works assured him that he was fully accepted before God.

Like that man, many people live life convinced that they are one the right track solely based on how they , but as a wise man once said, “Feelings are a great caboose, but a lousy locomotive” and Jeremiah 17:9 confirms this saying “ The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” In other words, if you live your life solely based on how you 'feel' you are not being lead being lead by a strong engine.
