Agree About Jesus
But You Can’t
Ignore Him

In the United States, it is hard to not see evidence about the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob.

While driving, it is not uncommon to see the motto “In God We Trust” on the license plates of many states, and along many highways are monuments of three crosses reminding us that, at heart, this is a Christian nation.

The inscription “In God We Trust” is imprinted on all our coins and currency. By Congressional decree these words are in stone above the chair of the Speaker of The House of Representatives which affirmed this phrase in HR 112-47 as the official motto of the United States. The murals inside the U.S. Capitol rotunda boldly have images extoling the providence of God over America and many buildings in Washington as well as the rest of the country have ”Anno Domini” - Latin for ”In the year of our Lord.” - etched into their cornerstones.

On Inauguration Day the entire nation sees the President rest his hand on a Bible and the Chaplin prays for blessing from Almighty God.

Lastly, we all enjoy – regardless of our faith or creed - two official federal holidays each year; Thanksgiving which remembers the Christian settlers thanking God for his bounty and protection, and Christmas honoring the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Friend, this message is not meant to make you believe in God or the Bible. We are all free to believe or not believe anything we want. From God’s perspective, that is what 'Free Will' is, but as today’s scripture reference says, the evidence of God around us is clear. We can honor and embrace it, or ignore it and discard it.
