When Jesus met a man paralyzed at the pool of Bethesda,
he not only healed him, but freed him from a way of
thinking and life that left him bound up in both
physical and mental chains that prevented him from being free.
You see, he wasn’t bound not just by his infirmity,
but by the perception of his circumstances.
When Jesus asked him if he wanted to be healed
his response was to not put the responsibility
for his healing on him, but on others. That is,
in his MIND he had chained himself to a
self-belief that was binding him from moving.
Friend, just as Jesus told that man, if you feel
bound by that which binds you, Christ is asking you
to get up and take the step of faith outside of
what you perceive. As the psalmist wrote,
this is the power of God’s Word saying:
“Order my steps in thy word:
and let not ANY iniquity
have dominion over me.”
Psalm 119:133
The path to being free from what binds you begins with taking that first step.
Will you choose to sit where you are
Or to MOVE?
