One of the great banes of our modern world is keeping our
cell phones charged. It is a constant daily task to consistently
plug in the power cord, otherwise when we forget or neglect to do so,
the battery will have no power - often at a time that we may need it the most&#33;
</P>

<P>
Spiritually, we are very much like these electronic devices because
if we are not continually connected to God&#8217;s Word, we too will lose power.
That is why it is so important to read and meditate on the Word of God.
</P>

<P>
Jesus taught this very thing saying, <I>&#8220;Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word of God.&#8221;</I> So just as we cannot sustain our strength
without eating bread, we also cannot sustain our spiritual strength without His Word.
</P>

<P>
Friend, as vital as the air that we breath, the water we drink,
and the bread that we eat to sustain our physical life,
so it is to not only sustain our spiritual life in this life,
but also in the life to come.
</P>
