You Can Interpret
What Is 'True'
One of Two Ways

“Just as some railed against Moses
Likewise there are those that oppose the truth.”

2 Timothy 3:8a

contradict-bumpersticker A bumper sticker cleverly spelled the word 'CONTRADICT' using familiar symbols of world religions. Underneath in smaller print a catchphrase stated “They Can’t All Be True” …and that raises an interesting question.

First is that since all religions don’t agree, they can’t ALL be true (or perhaps NONE of them is true) but a second read is that perhaps ONE of them is true, and all the rest are false.

The fact of the matter is that while overall there are a few (mostly) agreed upon principles (e.g. 'The Golden Rule') between world religions there are far greater differences than there are similarities which again confirms CONTRADICTION. So this bumper sticker is true, and the very open ended question is WHICH one is true, or perhaps NONE of them is true.

Jesus Christ boldly and clearly said “I am the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE.” Either that is true or it is false, and it is up to each of us to decide.

How do you interpret that statement?
