We are living in a world when many people make up their
own ideas of what they consider to be RIGHT or WRONG
and openly ignore and dismiss God’s Word which
clearly warns us that living wrongfully leads to sin,
and that sin - without repentance -
closes the door to eternal life.
Strong words for sure, and no doubt many will
object at such a strong injunction!
More than ever - especially today in these end times -
we need to speak out
against what is wrong because
Silence Against
Wrongdoing Means Supporting It.
If we do not speak out against wrongdoing
— and just turn the other way —
then we are Tolerating It, but not only that
— God COMMANDS us to do so.
The Bible says in Leviticus 5:1
“If you are called to testify about something
you have seen or that you know about,
it is sinful to refuse to testify, and you will be
punished for your sin.” In other words,
He will hold all those who should have spoken the
truth against wrongdoing accountable for not
saying what they should have.
Sadly and tragically, the church never spoke out
against the Nazis in Germany and the malevolent result
was the deaths of millions due to not speaking out
against one evil man.
Evil – in any form - is EVIL,
and then as now, the Lord is looking for a people who will
speak up against wickedness “… of those whose
heart is loyal to Him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9a)
Friend just as our God is holy, just, kind and righteous,
so must we be too. Let that same character be seen in us
also by not choosing to stay silent when we know what is right
and what is wrong in the face of evil and sin.
Will you take that stand...or will you keep silent?
