When it gets down to it, people either agree the Bible is the authoritative
Word of God, or instead is a book written by many over the centuries as a
collection of stories, fables, and falsehoods…with a little history thrown in(!) If it is the latter,
then no problem! All bets are off about its authenticity, authority or
accuracy across it’s varied sixty-six books and therefore is a literary
fabrication that is both fallible and false. If so, then logically god does NOT
exist or the god of the bible is not the true god — if even there is one!
On the other hand, if it is none of those things, then perhaps it is worth
taking a look — and here’s why.
The Bible is not only the most published book in history, it was also so valued as to be
the first book ever to be printed! More has been written about it than any topic,
and it has been both studied and revered by the greatest minds in the world.
Sir Isaac Newton, one of the pillars of scientific thought and propagator of
some of the most important discoveries wrote more about the Bible than he did on his
science works. Other brilliant people like Michael Faraday, George Washington
Carver, Florence Nightingale, Blaise Pascal, and Charles Babbage and many others
came to their scientific discoveries by faith that a creator God had logically made
things to work, and it was their task to discover HOW.
This raises a challenging question to those that discount the Bible out-of-hand and
deny the existence of God and that is, 'How then could people of such high
intelligence and education believe a lie?' And not only that, base their premise
of discovery based on false assumptions? And the challenge to those that think that is
“How then could scientific truth be extracted from a book based on legends and lies?
Friend, just as the apple seed bears the apple tree which bears the fruit of the apple,
so the source of truth bears the fruit of truth. God is not the liar here, but as Jesus
asserted that instead it is the Devil that is “The Father Of
All LIES” (John 8:44)
Is the Bible true?!? I cannot convince you of that, but make up your OWN mind,
not based on what others have told you, or what seems 'logical' in your
singular mind, but by what YOU honestly investigate and discover. When you do,
it is difficult not to see a book that goes far deeper than its cover into
a world of endless layers of deep truth.
