I don’t know about you, but like Elisha’s servant I have been in many
situations in my life where the opponents against me appeared to be be bigger and
stronger than me. At times like that, it is natural to think that all is lost, and
defeat — or even destruction — appear to be inevitable. However today’s
scripture and this accompanying picture of battling black and white knights tell a different story.
God’s Word repeatedly gives us assurances that when it comes to fighting battles,
no matter how seemingly dire, that victory eventually is ours:
- “The LORD blesses the righteous and gives them favour.” — Psalm 5:12
- “If God be for us, who can be against us?” — Romans 8:31
- “There is a large crowd of witnesses (warring holy angels) all around you! ” — Hebrews 12:1
- “You have an advocate (i.e. an attorney before the court) with the Father, Jesus Christ ” — 1 John 2:1
- “We are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” — Romans 8:37
So despite how impossible the enemy puffs himself up to be, in the END we are always going to win.
Between now and then it may not be easy and seem hopeless, but remember how the end of the entire
swath of history on earth for mankind ends as the Bible says in the last book of the Bible:
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning
or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Revelation 21:4
Life is not easy, and in some cases extremely difficult and tragically hard, but if you have placed yourself under the arms of God
by asking Him to cover the sins of your life, then the ultimate victory — Eternal Life Over Death — is
your sure assurance.
If you have not done so, decide TODAY for this to be your Day of everlasting victory. Accept what God is
offering you, and no enemy will ever conquer you in eternity.
