Can’t See God
From Outer Space
“I have heard of You
By the hearing of the ear,
But now my eye SEES YOU.”
Job 42:5
The first man in space, the Russian astronaut Yuri Gagarin, defiantly declared once
up in earth orbit, “I don’t see any god here”
…and he was right. You cannot see God in outer space, because that is not how you SEE HIM.
If you have had the same experience that Job, me, and millions of other believers in
the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob have all had, we know that GOD IS A SPIRIT and while we like Job have heard his words through
His handbook for living - The Bible - even more so, we do and have SEEN HIM working in and around our lives
in ways that go beyond mere chance or human effort.
This is one thing the atheists do not get, and that is that there is a PHYSICAL World
and there is a SPIRITUAL World, so if this one life you have on earth (or even circling around earth) is all you
think you have, or you think everything is perceived through your natural senses only, then you’re missing a much bigger picture.
Proverbs 20:12 puts it this way, but the key is reading it not literally, but figuratively:
“The hearing ear, and the seeing eye,
The LORD hath made even both of them.”
We all have been given the sense to hear God speaking to us and to see Him working in our lives,
however the thing is you have to be open to hear that 'inner voice' and experience the
wonders that happen to you in life through love and living. When you do, then you WILL both hear God and see him too.
God is not an 'imaginary friend' that foolish people have made up in their minds. He is Real, and
if you open up not just your mind but also your heart, you WILL also See & Hear Him too. Will you
do that today??
