This is Jesus’ simple claim about how He feels about you.
He not only loves you but He likes you too! This is hard to believe when you may
feel like no one else does, especially when others say painful and malicious things about you.
Whether what’s said is true, half-true, or not-true, all these can hurt -and Satan will always try to use
hurtful thoughts to cause you fear and shame.
And then comes along this simple declaration from the one whose voice
speaks in sovereignly matters:
“But the Lord takes pleasure in
Those who fear him, in
Those who hope in his steadfast love.”
Psalm 147:11
You see, God’s Word clears the air, overturns the lies and wipes away the accusations
and reminds us over and over - God not only Loves You but LIKES YOU and also delights in you too!
“He brought me out into a broad place;
He rescued me, because
HE DELIGHTED IN ME.”
Psalm 18:19
My friend, Have you met Jesus? if you haven’t, all you need to do is knock on His door
and He will welcome you in! Jesus is friendly and kind and wants you to know what an amazing friend He is.
He has got your back whenever people or situations seem against you and promises that
He’ll always be present when you need Him. He knows you better than anyone on earth and understands you.
He Knows you, He Loves you, and (especially!) HE LIKES YOU!
