The Apostle Paul was a determined runner. He ran against all kinds of obstacles, yet he never ever gave up
even when he came close to death. Like him, as Christians we are in a race. We encounter obstacles and
challenges and sometimes we fall flat on our face. In those moments the flesh will say, ‥I am a failure!”
but God says, “Get up! You and I will win the race!”
To win the race, you must have a victors mentality. Victory is a benefit of God’s grace. You can be triumphant!
David also had a winner’s spirit when he wrote in Psalm 18:29 -
“For by thee I have run through a troop and
By my God have I leaped over a wall.”
Likewise the writer of Hebrews says in chapter 12 verse 12, “Have you not known?
Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint.”
My friend, life has many challenges, but just like Paul and David you too can be an over comer
when you put on the vision of a winner today! With God on your side You are a winner!
