This verse from Genesis is the very first and THE most significant prophecy
in the Bible because it foretells that a child of the “Seed of Eve”
will vanquish the “Seed of the Devil.”
In essence there would be two seed lineages in the world that would lead to
two very different results. One would be the seed of
Redemption, Acquittal & Victory, but the other would be the seed of
Perdition, Judgement & Defeat. Everyone, regardless of race
or their human family lineage, would bare the fruit of one of these seeds or
another. The question is Of Which Seed Are YOU?
In Jesus’ famous meeting with Nicodemus, He said people must be
“Born Again” that is, in order to enter the
Kingdom of Heaven your spirit must become new, and in doing so
those that do would not face judgement but have eternal life.
Later the Apostle Peter said it this way:
“You must be born again,
not of corruptible seed,
but of incorruptible seed,
(and you do this) by
the word of God. (i.e. Christ)”
1 Peter 1:23
(Paraphrased)
You see, it is not by your natural birth and your good deeds but by your
supernatural birth that you are of the 'good seed,'
that will keep you from judgement. Sadly the mistake most people is like when the
Pharisees argued with Jesus that whey were “of Abraham’s seed”
implying that by their human mortality and good works that they were by
default 'good seed.'
All of us will have a Final Judgement and it will depend on whether our
tree in this life bears good fruit or bad fruit.
Friend, do not depend on your natural seed of works,
no matter how well that you have thought you have keep your garden in
life to bear a good crop! Be Born Again by the
incorruptible seed of Christ and the fruit of your life will be bountiful.
