Hearing Divine
Knowledge and Wisdom

For the Lord gives wisdom
from his mouth come
knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 2:6

surrounded-by-noise There is an important distinction that the majority of people never make that is vital to how they view and see life, and it is the difference between WORLDLY Knowledge and Wisdom –vs– DIVINE Knowledge and Wisdom.

The key between hearing one or hearing the other all has to do with which ear you use, but the problem is noise. You see, there are so many distractions in the world with a myriad of voices that it is easy to be continually distracted by the world’s deceptive beguilements. Politics, products, pleasures, power, partying, status, sex, sports, along with news, entertainment, advertisements, commerce and money are just some of the sources of noise that continually surround us and drown out this voice:

“Wisdom calls aloud in the street,
she raises her voice in the public squares,
at the head of the noisy streets she cries out,
in the gateways of the city she makes her speech.”

Proverbs 20:21

Yet because of all this the noise, many people do not listen, and cannot listen because they choose to be inside the noise around them, not hear what God is saying, and continue in their ignorance and rebellion against Him by spending their time and money on nothing of any real value.

Instead friend, step out of this dome of clatter and turn your ear toward His voice crying out in the midst of the marketplace. Turn your heart to Him. He knows where you are. When you hear His wisdom, you will also find His love for you.
