More than any other apostle, Paul was transformed most of all.
From a Christian-hating strict man of the established Jewish law that literally sought
to kill followers of Christ, he went onto being the greatest apostle of the twelve;
writing more of the New Testament, traveling more and preaching to more than any of them.
Along the way he penned many helpful guidelines for living - for all people
that build on the “Golden Rule” that Jesus taught.
Here are some of the Apostle Paul’s guidelines to practice God’s
wisdom written in modern vernacular:
- Hate evil and cling to what is good (Romans 12:9)
- Make an effort to live in peace with everyone (Hebrews 12:14)
- Do not be conceited (Romans 12:3)
- Use your God-given gifts (1 Timothy 4:14)
- Be joyful in hope, patient in sickness, faithful to always pray (Romans 12:12)
- Help those in need and practice hospitality (1 Timothy 5:10)
- Rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn (Romans 12:15)
- Do not pass judgement on others (Romans 14:10)
- Do not repay evil with evil nor take revenge (Colossians 5:15)
- Let your love be sincere (Romans 12:9)
- Be devoted to one another in brotherly love (1 Thessalonians 4:9)
- If your enemy is hungry or thirsty take care of him (Romans 12:20)
- LOVE
Proverbs 3:13 says, “Happy is the man who finds wisdom.” Wisdom is simply,
“Seeing things from God’s point of view” and when we do than all of the
above makes perfect sense! It all starts with a Transformed Mind and once you get this
and practice God’s wisdom for living, it will bear the fruit that will lead to a happy,
peaceful future both now and will last forever.
