No Absolute Truth?
That’s what a lot of people say because we live today in a world of ‘relative truth.’
Most people will say things like “That might be true for YOU,
but it is not true for ME!” But think about this for a moment...how can two
facts in opposition to each other both be true at the same time?
By asserting that all truth is ‘relative’ contradicts the very premise on which it is based.
By saying ‘There is no Absolute Truth’ is itself an ‘Absolute Truth,’
then it cannot also be Relative. The hypocrisy of that is in the person making that claim.
The Bible however is never hypocritical, contradictory or relative to times, customs or personal beliefs.
God and his Word is the same “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow” (Hebrews 13:8) and God’s Word is
“…a perfect gift from above… with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” (James 1:17)
It is not as some assert “a living, breathing document changing with the times” but teaches truth that never
changes and always remains the same. Yet in today’s culture-driven world many justify changes to what the Bible
says to suit their own ‘truth,’ based on popular politics, cultures and accepted norms.
Friend, don’t be deceived! There is only “One, Lord, One Faith, and One Baptism
(i.e. identity with truth)” (Ephesians 4:5). In Christ there is no lie, contradiction or ‘alternate facts’
to HIS TRUTH of which we can always be sure. Jesus Christ is “The Way, The TRUTH, and The Life.”
(John 14:6) but Is He Your TRUTH?
