The Shield of
God’s Favor

Have you ever heard the phrase, “God gave me divine favor?” If you are a Christian then you have God’s favor surrounding you at all times because you belong to Jesus.

Whether we are aware of it or not, God’s presence is always with us and we know this is true because the Word of God tells us so. Jesus said, in Hebrews 13:5-6, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Others will sometimes sense the favor of God upon us and wonder to themselves how and why we have this kind of intangible countenance about us. This is the wonderful grace of God, His favor for a lifetime.

When we are troubled, hurt or confused with life’s circumstances we may not sense God’s presence, because we are focusing on the problem and not focusing on Him, but He is always there. It may seem like He has left us, but He is there with us. Jesus is always waiting to hear us call out to him, “Lord, I need your help!”

King David in the Psalms wrote:

We are privileged people, those of us that belong to Jesus, those who choose to walk with Him. Remember the favor you live in and walk in and keep these words hidden in your heart, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those that walk uprightly.”

My friends, never forget, that God’s favor and grace are with you at all times.
