One morning I spilled coffee all over the kitchen counter and reached for a bright white cotton towel to clean it up.
In one swipe the counter was then clean and dry, but now a pristine towel had a dark stain on it.
In others words, in order for the counter to get clean - something had to get dirty.
Sin in our lives is like that too. Our souls are darkened with the crimson stain of sin and nothing can
clean it unless something else “get’s dirty.” Fortunately that “Something Else”
is the Crimson Blood of Christ.
The Bible says in Hebrews 9:14 “How much more will the blood of Christ …
cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” At the cross,
Jesus “(Sanctified) the people through His own blood” That word (sanctify)
means to make clean and holy. It was his blood that transferred the crimson stain off of you and onto him:
