Artists of The Every Day
He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers.
Exodus 35:35
Love is the spirit that motivates the artist’s journey. Love is the powerful motive of the artist’s life.
Just imagine the enormous love of God when He first thought of creating the universe, our world, the stars, the moon,
every creature and ultimately man in His own image. Take a moment and look up at the clouds on a bright blue, sunny day.
See how they paint the sky slowly and continually moving and changing, fascinating our eyes. Isn’t it wonderful
getting lost in the images they make? Pay close attention; clouds are artists creating beautiful images just for you!
We are artists too even though we may not all draw, paint, sculpt, sing, dance or compose,
but every day we are creating in our own way when we open our hearts and are willing to be the Great Creator’s conduit.
There are MANY ways that you are creative! It can be helping a friend through a personal crisis, giving a warm smile to a stranger, mentoring a child, planning a special vacation, reading a story to a two year old, designing a birthday party, or baking cookies to surprise your kids. There are hundreds of ways to be creative!
The world doesn’t applaud everyday art, but God does. He sees everything we do from our hearts.
So give yourself credit for creating whatever you feel led to do. It only takes five minutes to center yourself and
acknowledge in your soul that you are an artist of the “everyday.” Take five minutes to give thanks for your
personal gifts and offer your love, creative energies and talents to the person, idea, or project awaiting your attention.
Say it aloud:
“I am a brilliant, gifted artist of the everyday. My art is a blessing for me to give away.”
God Bless Your Day
Jesus Loves You
