Are you feeling uneasy about something? Are you experiencing bitterness? pride? jealousy? unresolved anger? Is there a sin that just keeps coming back and it won’t leave you alone? These things will rob you of the best that God has for you. They will cause an unrest in your soul robbing you of your peace and the abundant life God wants for you. Did you know that there is someone who can replace all these things with His sweetness, His love and healing? His name is the Holy Spirit. He is the one Jesus has given us to be our comforter, our guide and friend. The one we call on when we need to resolve the pain of our emotions and sins. The one who helps us repent of our sins and shows us how to get rid of our inner turmoil.

We must realize that we live in this world with the enemy of God named Satan. Many still refuse or ignore that he exists, but he is very much alive, full of evil trying to divide families, friends and everyone he can. His one mission is to kill and destroy. He will whisper something to us that is not true or is a half truth, and if we entertain the thought instead of casting it down, we will give it life.

All the emotions I mentioned of pride, envy, jealousy, unresolved anger, bitterness, being unforgiving, self loathing or giving into fear will rob you of the best that God has for you. They will cause an unrest in your soul and even effect your health and can even shorten your life. The word of God says about this that:

My friend, if you don’t know the Holy Spirit, your open your heart to come and know His comforting, sweet love! His love will help you over come all the negativity and sin that you may have allowed in your life. When someone has done something to hurt you, forgive them and let the wrong go. When you bless them God will bless you. If you are angry or bitter ask God to help you release those feelings. Ask Him to soften your heart. If you are prideful, humble yourself and look for all your blessings. Don’t yield to the lies and manipulation that Satan has put upon your emotions. Ask Jesus to come into your heart - and when you do - you will come to know that love covers a multitude of sin.
