Webster defines knowledge as the fact or condition of knowing something with
familiarity gained through experience or association.
It is information we have learned and seen through facts. On the other hand, wisdom is the ability to discern
or judge what is true, right, or lasting; insight, common sense, good judgement.
When Jesus taught He often repeated himself over and over in different ways because
He was acutely aware that many who listened to Him had some knowledge of God,
but not the wisdom of God. King David however grew in wisdom because he spent so much time
alone with God and mediated on His WORD as he wrote in Psalms:
“Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.”
Psalm 51:6
Wouldn’t you love to see things as God sees as what He knows?
You can by drawing close to Him and let the Holy Spirit who gives all wisdom and
knowledge to open this up to you.
This goes beyond our knowledge of living and experiencing life and cannot
compare to the wisdom we understand and retain
by spending time with the Lord. It is through His word and the Holy Spirit that
we learn God’s insight, judgment and truth.
