Are You One
Heartbeat Away From
Heaven or Hell?

Did you know that your heart beats about 100,000 times a day, and with it “The life of (our) flesh (which) is in the blood” literally keeps us alive?! [Leviticus 17:11] Yes! And unlike our hands or feet which we control at will, our heart beats on its own and we have no control over its next beat, so today’s question is, IF YOUR HEART STOPS BEATING, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Medically the answer is simple. Your earthly body, which is your mortal flesh, will die — but then what happens to your spirit?

Friend, it is easy to take life (and your next heartbeat) for granted, you cannot take what happens after that for granted! While you have no control of your next heartbeat, you have 100% control of what happens after your heart stops beating by “Directing your heart into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.” [2 Thessalonians 3:5]

Today is a GIFT, that is why we call it the PRESENT, and while we have the gift of TEMPORAL LIFE today, God promises us the gift of ETERNAL LIFE that will supersede our heart of flesh.

Ask yourself honestly — “Are you one heartbeat away from LIFE or DEATH, and what have you done about it to prepare for when that moment comes?”
