This Life Is
Temporary
But
Eternity Is
FOREVER

In the iconic movie Back To The Future there’s a scene where Michael J. Fox frantically runs towards the Delorean and seemingly slides across the hood to make a quick getaway. The shot took several takes and Fox suffered many painful injuries perfecting it. Later, when asked about it he famously said, “Pain is Temporary, but Film is Forever.”

Our lives on earth are like that too.

While running through life we will also get painful injuries through trials, tribulations, and troubles but what will you do when you face them?

As today’s scripture verse reminds us in the grand scheme of eternity all of these present troubles are temporary and will pass, but more importantly will how will you respond to perfect and correct those tests so that they produce a fruit of 'Glory' that honors God that will last forever?

Fox’s perseverence and dedication is an exemplary example of how to work through our salvation while pushing forward to the high calling that God calls us to be like Christ, no matter what the cost. The pain of working through each scene in life is indeed temporary, but the glory that will be remembered and rewarded “In Eternity Is Forever.”
