Better Law

For many people there has been confusion over why some things which were once forbidden in the Old Testament today are not.

For example, why is it that we can now eat pork, no longer have to offer sacrifices to atone for sin, or are not forbidden to have tattoos?
[Note: this last point may be controversial for some!]

Here’s a modern example that will make this clear...

Decades ago nation-wide it was illegal to make a right turn at a red light, however in 1972 the 'California Rule' swept the nation and today everywhere it is OK.

BEFORE 1972 it was illegal, but
AFTER   1972 there was a New and BETTER Law.

Likewise, BEFORE Christ the Jews lived under the Law of Moses. Every aspect of life was highly regulated, and it was illegal to break those laws - actually impossible not to! James 2:10 reminds us of this saying, “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it” however as today’s scripture verse promises the Old Testament of LAW has been fulfilled through Christ to “Better Promises” under the New Testament Law of GRACE.

You see, Christ came to free the world from being under laws that no one could ever totally keep, to “Better Promises” to forgive sins and show Grace & Mercy to all that sincerely repent and turn from their selfish, sinful ways and lifestyle.

When you come before God with an honest and repentant heart and ask Him to forgive your sins and accept his payment of the penalty of the many 'illegal turns' you made in life he will both save your soul and forgive you of each illegal transgression. You will no longer be under the old “OLD Law of Sin & Death” but under the “NEW Law of Forgiveness & Grace.”

Your sins — and all the laws you have broken in your life — will be excused before the high judge of heaven when you choose to be saved by Christ and live under the new Law Of Grace.

Friend the reality is that you are either living under the Law of Grace with absolution for all your previous illegal turns in life, or are living under the Law of Judgement when you stand before God on the last day.

It is your choice which law you will be under.
