Foolishly Standing At
The Intersection Of
Crisis

(Jesus said) Whosoever shall kill
Shall be in Danger Of The JUDGEMENT (and)
Whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause
Shall be in Danger Of The JUDGEMENT (and)
Whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca,
Shall be in Danger Of The Council (and)
Whosoever shall say, Thou Fool
Shall be in Danger Of HELL FIRE.

Matthew 5:20-21

DangerousIntersection In this at first seemingly cryptic saying by Jesus, it is easy to miss the consequences of infractions that all lead to JUDGEMENT.

The Greek word for JUDGEMENT is our modern-day word 'CRISIS' which is defined as “times of intense difficulty, trouble, or danger” and in each of these scenarios Jesus warns of the possibility of receiving judgement which ends in the ultimate crisis of hell.

Of note here is Jesus’ last statement of those that arrogantly call others 'You Fool' and it is those in particular in their hubris - in completely discounting and degrading the message of judgement - that are themselves the ones unwittingly standing at the intersection of foolishness and judgement.

Friend, Jesus warned of this often discounted and dismissed idea of hell more than any other topic, NOT out of fear, but out of love and care for all. His hearts desire is that none go down the street of judgement that leads to eternal death but instead to follow Him on the true street that leads to eternal life.
