Praying About 'The Problem' Instead Of Praying For THE PROMISE
(God Speaking to Abram) Thou shalt be a father of many nations.
Genesis 17:4
Have you ever had a Problem on the way to a Promise and wondered why it wasn’t getting solved?
This was exactly the situation that Abram and Sarah were in.
God had promised Abram that he’d be the prognosticator
(foretelling fulfiller) of a new people,
but after many years of trying to conceive and failing
they prayed a solution ABOUT THE PROBLEM instead of
continuing to pray FOR THE PROMISE .
James 4:3 says “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss”
and this is where many of us make a mistake.
You see, instead of praying for the blessing and claiming the promise God has given us
we instead are praying about the PROBLEM that is getting in the way of that promise!
2 Corinthians 1:20 tells that when God directs us and
we are doing and praying His will (and not our own) then
“...all the promises of God find their Yes in him.
That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.”
Friend, if God has given you a promise that is according to His will
and roadblocks appear along the way to that promise, don’t be discouraged.
Pray for THE PROMISE!
...(and not about 'The Problem').
