Does God still “speak“ to us? Or was it just to people like Moses?
In the Book of Numbers alone it says “The LORD spake unto Moses”
over fifty times (that we know of!) yet throughout the Pentateuch
(the first five books of the Bible) it was certainly many times more than
that that we know. Even so, if God spoke THEN, does He still speak to us NOW?
Hebrews 1:1-2 says
“God, who at sundry times and
in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers
by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son,”
and Jesus tells us who the US is in that verse saying,
“Whoever is of God Hears The Words Of God.
The reason why
YOU DO NOT HEAR them is that
YOU ARE NOT OF GOD.” (John 8:47)
Hearing and understanding what God is saying is not exclusive for everyone,
but IS inclusive to those that '…are of God.' So if you are not hearing His voice
the problem is that instead of listening to God, you’re blocking His voice out
by listening to the folly of the WORLD. Instead, heed the words of the Psalm saying
“Let me hear what God the LORD will speak,
for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints;
but let them not turn back to folly.”
Psalm 85:8
Friend, God wants to speak to you today.
The question is,
Are you “...of God?”
