In Luke 16 Jesus tells the account about the beggar Lazarus with Abraham
in paradise and the rich man tormented in hell. With great regret,
the rich man pleads earnestly for someone to go back to the land of the living
to his five brothers and warn them not to come to this terrible place.
Abraham’s words to the rich man should be a wake-up call for anyone
that doubts about what happens after death. In essence, he tells him:
Your brothers (and anyone taking the time to listen) have all they need to know
and understand what happens after mortal life is over.
It’s all written in God’s Word,
yet they still WILL NOT BELIEVE
Even If Someone Rose From The Dead To Tell Them.
The truth is someone DID Rise From The Dead
and proclaimed that there is victory over death - and that was JESUS CHRIST!!
Yet despite this, many will not read or believe God’s Word
and accept the truth of his death, resurrection and
the promise of forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
Friend, is that you? Do you doubt Christ’s resurrection
and the promise of eternal life? Do you still think there is no fate
like the rich man and that there is no final judgment?
For the rich man, it was too late, but if this is you IT IS NOT TOO LATE.
Believe in the death and resurrection of Christ!
Ask for and receive the forgiveness of sins and you,
like Lazarus, will be SAVED, and not be LOST.
