The Fruit of
Wickedness

“As saith the proverb of the ancients,
Wickedness proceedeth from the wicked:
But mine hand shall not be upon thee.”

1 Samuel 24:13

What is Wickedness?

WickedDoWickedness Wicked is first used in the Bible describing Sodom and Gomorrah and is the Hebrew word “Ra” which means All Which Is Disagreeable To God. Ra is also the name of the highest Egyptian deity who was worshipped as the creator and source of all light, so anything 'Ra' is the Exact Opposite of Holy God!

In English, 'wicked' comes from 'wicca' from which we get the words 'witch' and 'wretched' and describes all those who are “persued, banished, exiled and will be driven out.”

As today’s verse warns us, evil comes forth from evil, and Proverbs 13:20 says all that those that are “companions of fools shall be destroyed.” It is therefore vital to keep far away from wickedness in any form (1 Peter 3:11) and God’s Word in Deutoronomy 29:16-21 soberly states that in not doing so “All the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.” Yet again as 1 Samuel gravely instructs us, God’s hand of blessing will not be upon the wicked.

Friend, we all have one of two choices. We can live a life where all is AGREEABLE to God or all which is DISAGREEABLE to God. The first promises life and blessing, but the second is the banished of the wretched.

It is your choice how to live your life and who you associate with.

Who do you choose those persons to be?
