It would be silly to see what time it is by shining
a flash light on a sundial at night, but this is exactly
how many people determine time in their lives.
This illustration of darkness -
and the contrasting example of light occurs over
three hundred and fifty times in the Bible, so the idea
of being and walking in light or darkness is a powerful
metaphor of how people can and do navigate this world.
Jesus spoke extensively about light. In Luke 11:35 he said
“Take heed therefore that the light which is
in thee be not darkness” and by contrast warned
”…everyone that does evil hates the light,
neither comes to the light.” (John 3:20)
On the other hand, like the artificial light from a flashlight
in a dark place, we must be careful to not follow false light.
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 11:4 that “Satan himself
is transformed into an angel of light.” and over
the ages has deceived many through promising to 'lead them into the light'
through 'Enlightenment' and 'Finding Oneself.'
Especially today in the global Internet age are many varied voices
on-line and in media and it is easy to be deceived by things that
appear to 'bright and right' but instead are false lights
pointing to “FALSE TRUTHS.”
Friend, be 'Wise' and not 'Foolish!'
Jesus Christ is “The LIGHT of the World!”
Follow and be under His light because
“Whosoever believeth on (HIM) will not abide
in DARKNESS.” but will have Eternal Life. (John 12:46)
