One thing that’s certain in this life is that there will be
Trials and Tribulations. The Bible even tells us in
Genesis that after the fall of man that sorrow will follow us
all the days of our lives and along with that, various types of troubles.
While these times will come and go, this raises two questions.
First, why do we have to go through these times? and Second,
what can we (or should we) do about it?...and today’s
verse gives us the answer.
Just as raw mined gold is put into the furnace to purge impurities,
and a rough stone diamond is placed under the hard deft chisel of a
master stone cutter, so is our personal purification consummated
through enduring the testing of tribulation.
When we do, exactly like the refinement of raw gold or crusty diamonds,
the result is something that will become very valuable.
The trials of life are never easy, but just as the diamond under the blade
must be perfectly still in order to receive a perfect cut, we too must be
still and trust that the these blows we receive in life
are meant to refine and cut out all the imperfections that encumber us
— that is...if we let them.
The Bible calls this
“Long Suffering,”
which is the time of (often not so)
“Be(ing) still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
It is His deft hand that is working to complete His perfect work in you,
but this will only come to completion if you patiently endure each test to the end.
So when the time comes of testing and trial, practice patience.
Start your PATIENCE APP. When you do, it will always come back
with the result: MATURE & COMPLETE.
